The Disaster Recovery (DR) is an annual activity to ensure service continuity in the event of an unexpected outage or system failure. It involves transitioning operations from the primary region to a secondary region, known as failover, and then returning operations back to the primary region, known as failback.
In 2025, DR testing will be conducted across both UAT and Production environments. It includes two types of tests:
Weekend Tests
A 24-hour testing window where users can connect and interact with DSB in a controlled DR environment.
Extended Tests
A two-week period where the DSB operates entirely from the secondary region, allowing users to conduct business-as-usual during an extended DR scenario.
Notifications will be sent throughout the process to confirm when failover and failback activities begin and end.
Why this matters:
These tests are critical to ensure business continuity, regulatory compliance, and ensuring that services remain available during a disruption.
