Following two rounds of industry consultation and a subsequent review period for the proposed language amendments to the 2019 legal documentation, the 2019 DSB Access and Usage Agreement and Policies have been finalised.
The changes are a result of updating content that was specific to the 2017-18 contract period, editorial corrections and incorporation of industry feedback that has been received over the last 12 months, including the 2019 consultation process. The recent industry consultations (see below) included feedback specific to the 2019 fee model, functionality, service levels, service availability, user categories and user agreement.
The changes to the DSB Access and Usage Agreement and Policies will become effective 1st January 2019.
The DSB completed its second round of industry consultation on the 2019 User Fees, user categories, legal agreement, service levels, service availability and functionality on 27th July 2018. The second consultation summarized industry responses (from the first consultation) and set out further information and next steps. A 2nd webinar was hosted on Tuesday 3rd July 2018.
The DSB received 15 responses, representing a total of 19 institutions and are available below.
Feedback received outside of consultations:
The DSB hosted a webinar on Friday 18th May 2018 setting out a series of proposed changes. The webinar served as the initiation of an initial consultation period and the DSB welcomed industry feedback on proposed changes to the 2019 User Fees, 2019 User Agreement and related policies as well as feedback on questions about desired service levels, functionality and availability of the DSB Service. The initial consultation round closed at 5pm UTC on Wednesday 13th June 2018. The accompanying slide deck was designed to work in conjunction with the consultation document.
The DSB received 16 responses, representing a total of 20 institutions and are available below.
