The DSB Opens Applications for the Next Term of its Governance Advisory Committee

Senior representatives from across the OTC derivatives ecosystem invited to help inform the DSB’s governance, fee model and future direction

London, 13 October 2026 – The Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), the global golden source of reference data for over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives, is inviting senior industry practitioners to apply to the Governance Advisory Committee (GAC). The GAC advises the DSB Board and gives market participants a voice in the evolution of the DSB’s International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) and Unique Product Identifier (UPI) services. The GAC’s second two-year term begins in January 2026 with applications to join the GAC closing on 10 November 2026.

The GAC is instrumental in providing industry perspectives to the DSB, advising on the user subscription terms and policies, the cost recovery fee model structure, the market positioning of the DSB, and the control framework it uses. With the DSB’s shift to a discovery phase – one that deepens its understanding of its users and the broader ecosystem in which they operate – this is an opportune time for market participants with relevant expertise to help shape the DSB’s future services and operating model.

Emma Kalliomaki, Managing Director of ANNA and the DSB, said: “Stakeholder input plays an important role in helping the DSB deliver services that meet market requirements while maintaining a fair approach to cost allocation. As we undertake a holistic review of the DSB over the coming year, the GAC’s input will be particularly important, and I look forward to working with the committee as it starts its new term.”

As the GAC advises on the DSB’s business and governance model, members are sought from senior positions within their organisations, with experience of the regulatory frameworks, OTC derivatives and market structure. Applications are encouraged from across the global OTC derivatives ecosystem, so that membership reflects a balance of institutions by function, size and geographic region. Candidates interested in participating in the renewed term are welcome to apply.

The timeline for the appointment of members to the next GAC term is set out below:

  • 13 October 2026: Call for participation opens
  • 10 November 2026: Closure of applications
  • Early December 2026: Announcement of the GAC’s members
  • January 2027: First meeting of the renewed GAC

The GAC Charter for 2027/29 can be viewed here: Governance Advisory Committee Charter – DSB

Applicants are required to submit the application form together with their CV, to GACMembership@anna-dsb.com. Further information is available on the DSB website https://www.anna-dsb.com/governance-advisory-committee/.

About ANNA

The Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) is a global member association seeking to foster standardisation within the financial industry by upholding the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) principles and by promoting ISIN, FISN and CFI codes for financial instruments. This is achieved through ongoing, collaborative work with market participants, regulators and other standards bodies.

Under ANNA’s stewardship, the role of the ISIN in enabling global financial communications has been established worldwide. Founded in 1992 by 22 numbering agencies, today ANNA’s membership continues to grow, with more than 120 global members and partners allocating ISIN, FISN and CFI codes on behalf of their local jurisdictions. By putting in place rigorous governance around the development, allocation and sharing of ISIN, FISN and CFI codes, ANNA helps facilitate open, transparent markets diminishing barriers to access, while protecting the integrity of the standards. As a result, ISIN has become the recognised global standard for unique identification for all types of financial and referential instruments, helping to connect and protect global markets.

In addition, ANNA has established the Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), a fully automated global numbering agency to meet the specific operational and regulatory requirements of the Over the Counter derivatives markets.
